Domain Axis

What is the domain & range of this function?

sqrt(1-x^2). Can this not be a circle where:
x^2+y^2=1
y^2=1-x^2
y=sqrt(1-x^2)?
When I enter this on a graphing calculator, I only get the half circle above the x-axis. Does this mean that the domain is [-1,1] and the range is in fact [0,1]?

Graphing calculators only graph functions, thus by entering the negative square root of whatever you put in will give you the other half of the circle.

The domain is correct but the range is off and you will be able to see once you graph it.
